Cherax Park Aquaculture is one of the biggest freshwater crayfish farms in South East Queensland with a total of 57 ponds. Featured on Channel 7's Queensland Weekender and Channel 9’s Saturday Afternoon our Cherax Park "Pond to Plate" experience is a must do on your visit to the Cooloola and Fraser Coast regions or just a great destination for that special day out.  The tour features all aspects of Redclaw Aquaculture and finishes with a delicious 2 course Redclaw lunch served in country style on the verandah of the family Queenslander.

How to get there:

From North

Take the Kanyan Rd turn off (approx. 22km from Tiaro) - Follow the road, cross the railway line and go straight ahead. Turn at the first mailbox on your right.

From south

On the Bruce Highway past Gympie take the Windsong Tea Gardens exit into Balkin St. Continue 300 metres and take the right fork into Adrian Lane (Gunalda cemetery sign) Follow along 100m and turn right into Scrub Rd at the Give Way sign .Follow along Scrub Rd until you cross the railway line (approx 6 km). Turn right and continue past the Theebine Hotel to the T intersection (2.5 km). Turn left, continue 200 metres & take the first mailbox on your right.

  • The tour starts at 10.30am Nov - Mar and 11am Apr- Oct followed by a 2 course Redclaw Lunch.The portions are generous and the quality is first class.
  • BYO soft or alcoholic beverages. Cold water and tea/ coffee is served with lunch.
  • Special dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice.
  • We are family friendly – children’s menu available on request.
  • Redclaw products at farm gate prices available seven days – bring your esky.
  • Bring a hat and wear sensible shoes.
  • Sorry NO eftpos facilities at the farm.
  • Morning tea and tour packages are available on request to groups of 12 +.
  • Plenty of parking available for cars, buses, caravans and motor homes.
